Goodyear UltraGrip Performance G1 Tyres in London

  I bought these Goodyear winter tyres after seeing a favourable review in Auto Express. They have replaced my rather ancient Pirelli Sottozeros on my C350 cdi. I had to go for a slightly higher profile than my car's standard tyres, as they do not make winter versions for that profile. The ride is now more comfortable, and the stickiness in snowy weather is amazing, as I was able to drive without the fear of getting stuck. Most importantly, the stopping distances are much shorter than with the other tyres. The grip on snow and ice was good enough for me to take my rear wheel drive Mercedes rather than my 4x4 Hilux. Performance other than in snowy and icy conditions is good too, although they are a little louder than the normal tyres.

  In rainy weather, they are great as they drive through puddles without the car losing control. When it is dry, they are not as good as the summer tyres, with somewhat more movement from the tread blocks, but they provide consistent grip.
