TyresLondon.uk privacy policy
What we collect and why
1. Searching for tyres
On a registration search, both the registration and the postcode go to identify the tyre sizes your car needs and the centres near your postcode. It is our fulfilment partner, Tyres.co.uk, that answers the lookup, since it holds the vehicle and centre data; no record ties that search to you, and this site holds nothing of it beyond routine server logs. Entering a tyre size instead carries nothing about you, not even a postcode.
2. The centre finder
The finder that orders centres by distance turns the postcode you type into a location using postcodes.io, a free public service, so the centres around London can be ordered by how far away they are. The postcode is not saved anywhere on this site, and nothing links it to you.
3. Maps and weather
The map on each centre page is made of OpenStreetMap tiles, that your browser asks openstreetmap.org for directly, so openstreetmap.org sees your IP address, as any site you load does. The local weather shown on some pages is fetched by this site's own server from the Met Office, with MET Norway as a fallback, once for the whole city, with nothing about you in the request.
4. Cookies and logs
TyresLondon.uk uses no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies, and nothing on it tracks you, on any page. The site is hosted on Vercel, and it keeps the standard short-lived logs of IP address, browser type and the pages requested for security and stability; identifying you is not what they are for.
5. When you buy
When you choose a tyre and press buy, you are taken from here and the order is completed by our fulfilment partner, Tyres.co.uk. Name, address, card details, car and fitting slot are collected and handled by Tyres.co.uk under its own privacy policy, which explains how that information is used and how to exercise your rights over it.
6. Reviews
All the reviews published here were written by verified buyers and are supplied by Tyres.co.uk, and carry no more than a first name and an initial. Reviews are never collected here, on any page; the site only displays what Tyres.co.uk supplies.
7. Your rights and contact
By UK data protection law you can see the personal data held about you, have it corrected or erased, and object to it being used at all. With so little held here, such a request will usually concern an order, which Tyres.co.uk handles; in any event, use the contact page. This page may be revised; the copy here is always the one that applies, so check back if it matters to you.
